Is Saving Money Stupid or

Important During This Pandemic

Let’s Talk!

When it comes to saving money most of us just laugh it off because we don’t need to save our hard-earned money, we do what we want with it – right? Like we have zero issues when it comes to our hard-earned money – sounds about right? Well, most of us just don’t see what the big fuss is all about concerning “money” in general. Majority of people they don’t see the purpose in saving their hard-earned money, while most of us we tend to think that we can manage our money decently and most of the time when it’s sitting in the bank account and/or cash at home, we like to spend it like it’s “extra money” and chances are, it’s really not extra spending money.. So, the question remains – Why do we like to blow our money and live broke for? Or when people are hurting for money, they can’t “save it” nor do they want to?

” The most important thing in this life is what you do with your “time”. Days, years, and time, those three things we can never get back. When it’s your time and your time is up, your money, your cars, your home, your success, you CAN’T take any of those things with you when you DIE, and that’s just the sad honest truth “

When it comes to saving money, a lot of people think and honestly believe that saving money is pointless. Do you think it’s stupid to save money? if so, why? I mean everyone has their own opinions and outlook on life, but I think personally, people are heavily “misinformed” and “narrow-minded” when it comes to “money” in general. For anyone to make a bold statement about how saving money is “stupid”, for me honestly, it’s totally opposite – it’s super important.. Statistics show that only 70% of people actually have a savings account, and 59% of people don’t even have $10,000 or more in their savings account. While only 25% of people have $5,000 or less in their savings account – while 15% of people really have no type of savings at all, they live paycheck to paycheck.. The richest people in the world only make up 1% of Americans. I mean saving money is hard – it’s not easy. Anyone can spend their money and so called “go broke”, and live paycheck to paycheck and simply YOLO their life away – that’s easy to do. It’s trying and just wanting to get “ahead in life”, that’s a difficult thing to accomplish especially when you don’t make great money to begin with and/or maybe you do make great money but you can’t kick that spending “habit”. So, for anyone trying to say that saving money is stupid, I would bet my life savings you’re probably that person living paycheck to paycheck right now, because saving money is pointless to you, because you never have it – right??

Let’s Talk About “Stupid Debt”, and Being “Misinformed”

Most people can agree that any credit card debt is stupid debt, right? – Well, it’s really not. The reason why it’s not, is because credit cards can actually be used to improve your credit score and/or your credit file. Credit cards can also be used for an unexpected emergency, they can help out with groceries, possibly paying a bill and/or basically there to help you stay above water while everything else is trying to pull you under.. People are very misinformed about the uses of a credit card, they just don’t get it. Most people will tell you to stay away from them, don’t do it, credit cards will hurt your credit and “ruin” your life – blah, blah, blah.. I mean they can and will if you’re not “responsible” enough with them like how you’re actually using those said credit cards at the end of the day.. When credit cards are being used and managed properly – they can actually be used as a “LIFELINE”, not a “LIFESTYLE”.  Learn more about “improving your credit score” <— Click here

Renting furniture that’s “stupid debt”. Renting a bedroom set – “stupid debt”. Obtaining a FUNGERHUT credit card and basically making payments for the things that you really dont need – that’s “stupid debt”. Having to wash your clothes at the laundry-mat every single month and/or every week or having to rent a washer and dryer that’s “stupid debt”. Having left over money every single month and you rather “blow it” on “stupid things” that’s called “stupid debt”. Maxing out your credit cards to purchase things to make you look “important” that you could actually “save your money for”, that’s “stupid debt”. I can honestly go on and on and on about what’s “stupid debt” and what’s not, but the point is you want to try and live your life “debt free”, and so saving money can make that dream and/or goal very possible – believe it or not…

Why Does Everyone Think Saving Money Is Really Stupid For? Let’s Talk!

If you’re that type of person who claims that saving money is pointless, can I ask you something? Do you have Life Insurance? Do you have some type of Retirement Account? Do you have a work 401k? Do you have Health Insurance? Do you have a Roth IRA account or a Traditional IRA account? What about any type of Investment accounts? At least $10,000 cash at home and/or in your savings account? If you answered YES to all of these and you have “left over money” at the end of the month – good for you, that’s awesome! With your left-over money, you can do a few things with it. You can start up an “Emergency Fund” and/or invest your money into PROSPER

Emergency Fund – I love this one, because life happens and really anything can happen unexpectedly, so I rather be prepared then to not be. What is an Emergency Fund? I’ve talked about this before but really quick it’s basically money that you will “save and use” for emergencies ONLY. I personally had $5,000 in mine at one point, and I ended up losing my job, so it was there for me when I needed it the most and that money saved my ass!

Back to the questions that I asked, if you do not obtain at least four of these, then in my opinion you shouldn’t be running around telling people that saving money is stupid. Oh, and leaving money in your savings account is stupid or what you see and hear on social media that famous people are talking about – right? Lets be clear about this more than likely these people are rich and/or getting paid online so they honestly “don’t care”. They can say what they want on any topic on any given day, and purchase anything they want when they want. Unlike “us” the everyday nine to five worker our money and what we do with it – MATTERS..

When it comes to saving money time and time again most people they have their own opinions, point of views, and/or personal reasons on why they believe and think that saving money is stupid and pointless – I respect that, but I also believe that people are just misinformed – honestly. Saving money can easily be just getting rid of cable tv, getting rid of debt, down grading cell phone service, and even paying off your car. In other words, the money that you were “forking out” to pay for those things, cable tv, paying debt, even making that annoying car note every single month, well you’re no longer having to make those “said payments”, which means you’re not having to “fork out” that money anymore and clearly – “YOU ARE NOW SAVING MONEY”.

For anyone saying that saving money is dumb, can I ask a question? When your car breaks down how do you pay for the repairs? Vacation how do you pay for it? Considering moving and/or buying a house how do you pay for that? Thinking of buying a new or used vehicle how are you going to pay for that? Do you have kids? If so, how do you take them shopping and celebrate “Christmas” and “Birthday’s” if you “DO NOT SAVE MONEY”

I believe majority of people are simply confused and misinformed about saving money. You do realize when you invest your money into a 401k or in your retirement account, I mean really in any “Investment Account”, you do know you can’t tap into those said accounts and get money out when you want and how you want – right? Borrowing money from your life insurance policy or you find yourself taking it out from your 401k – that’s STUPID. Honestly if you have to end up borrowing money from any “said accounts” that is supposed to be there for you when you retire – that’s STUPID. That’s like borrowing money from your paycheck before you even get paid, and then you go and complain about it when you get paid – HAHA that’s STUPID.
